Viens jouer! is an independent resource which both specialist and non-specialist teachers in Primary Schools may use however they choose. Teachers might also consider guiding young learners through each of the twelve sections in turn, meeting the five attractive little characters from their waking up to their bedtime.

There are opportunities for children to listen, speak, memorise, perform and explore the language of each section, revisiting familiar language and extending it to explore each new section. Once language is familiar, teachers may wish to dip into the rhymes, songs, stories and dialogue to support their own scheme of work or language activities.

Language themes include meeting and greeting, getting up, numbers, actions, the house, friends and family, weather, clothes, colours, birthdays, please and thank you, animals, sounds, outings and transport and bedtime.

Aimed at teachers of 4 - 7 year olds, Viens jouer! encourages young learners to come and play with French language in an enjoyable way. Teachers are assured that the methodology supporting the activities is sound and based on the knowledge and teaching experience of professional Primary teachers, early language learning trainers and native French speakers.
